UK hub FAQ

When can I apply for ILR?

Up to 28 days before the end of your qualifying period — typically 5 years on a Skilled Worker or Spouse visa, or 10 years under Long Residence. Keep absences under 180 days in any rolling 12-month window.

Do I pay UK tax on money I send to Bangladesh?

No. UK earnings you have already paid tax on can be remitted freely. The UK–Bangladesh Double Taxation Convention (1979) prevents the same income being taxed twice.

What is the Life in the UK test pass mark?

You must answer at least 18 of 24 questions correctly (75%), within 45 minutes. The Bangla study cards above cover the most-missed topics.
