Days Between Two Dates Calculator

Find the exact number of days, weeks and total time between any two dates. Works across leap years, DST changes and month boundaries.

How it works

The calculator counts whole calendar days from the start date to the end date, so the start day itself is not counted. A Monday to Friday count is 4 days.

All arithmetic is done on calendar dates in UTC, so daylight saving time changes can never make the count off by an hour or a day.

If the end date is earlier than the start date, you get a negative count and the calculator tells you which date comes first.

Frequently asked questions

Does the count include the start date?

No. The standard convention is used: the start date is day zero, and the end date is counted as the final day. From January 1 to January 2 is 1 day.

Does the calculator handle leap years?

Yes. February 29 is counted whenever it appears inside your range, and ranges spanning February are always checked against the correct leap-year rule.

Can I count days until a future event like Eid or Pohela Boishakh?

Yes, just put today as the start date and the event as the end date. For repeating events, also try the Days Until a Date tool.
