Riyal to Taka Calculator

Riyals to taka, with the automatic 2.5% government incentive. To use it, enter the amount you plan to send and update the rate to the one your exchange house quoted — the incentive and totals recalculate instantly.

About this tool

Convert Saudi riyals to taka with the 2.5% Bangladesh Bank cash incentive included, and compare what your family receives through bank deposit, bKash wallet and cash pickup before you send. Everything runs in your browser — your numbers never leave this device.

Getting more taka into your family's hands

Small habits make a real difference over a year. Compare the exchange rate and the fee together: a 'no-fee' transfer at a weak rate often lands less taka than a small-fee transfer at a better rate, so always look at the final taka figure first. The 2.5% Bangladesh government incentive is credited automatically when riyals travel through a licensed bank or exchange house into a valid beneficiary account — just make sure the receiver's account name matches their NID or passport exactly.

Sending early in the week avoids weekend settlement gaps, and regular scheduled transfers help the family plan rent, tuition and Eid shopping. Keep every transfer receipt: Bangladesh Bank may ask for proof of the banking channel when the money is later invested in savings certificates, land or a home.

Riyal to taka rate today

1 Saudi riyal—
100 riyal—
1,000 riyal—

Live mid-market rate; banks and exchange houses quote their own, usually a little lower.

One riyal does not have a single price. Every bank, exchange house and app quotes its own rate, and the gap between the best and the worst on an ordinary day is a few paisa per riyal. On SAR 1,000 that is tens of taka, which is why the rate you enter matters more than the fee you are quoted.

Where to find a rate you can trust

Use the rate your sender will actually apply. Saudi banks and licensed exchange houses publish theirs, and so do the money apps. Type that number into the calculator rather than the mid-market rate you see on a search page, because nobody sends at the mid-market rate.

How the 2.5% incentive is added

Bangladesh Bank pays 2.5% on remittances that arrive through banking channels or a licensed exchange house into a beneficiary account. Hand-carried cash gets nothing, and neither does an informal transfer. The calculator adds it on top of the converted taka, which is why a bank transfer with a small fee usually beats a no-fee counter rate.

Frequently asked questions

Does the incentive apply to Saudi riyal transfers?

Yes. SAR remittances sent through banks or licensed exchange houses to Bangladesh qualify for the 2.5% wage-earner cash incentive on top of the converted taka.

Should I send SAR or convert to another currency first?

Convert once. Providers quote better margins on the currency you actually earn in, so double conversion through an intermediate currency usually loses money on both legs.

How much is 100 riyal in taka?

Multiply by the rate you enter. At the Tk 32.40 the calculator starts with, 100 SAR is about Tk 3,240, and a bank transfer adds the 2.5% incentive on top, close to Tk 3,321 before any fee.

Bank or exchange house, which gives more taka?

Compare the final figure, not the fee. Both qualify for the 2.5% incentive when they are licensed, exchange houses are usually faster on small amounts, and banks tend to win once the amount is large enough to negotiate the rate.
