English to Bangla Translation
English to Bangla translation as you type. Paste or type English and read the Bangla, or swap for Bangla to English. Nothing you write is saved on this site.
Typing Bangla? Press Swap and type Banglish: ami bhalo achi becomes আমি ভালো আছি as you type.
Text is sent to a public translation service to be converted. Do not paste passport numbers, bank details or anything confidential.
Translate English to Bangla as you type
English to Bangla translation turns English text into Bangla script you can copy straight into a message, a form or a caption. This page does it as you type, with no sign-up.
You type in one box and the other fills itself after a short pause, so you do not have to press anything for every sentence. The swap button reverses the direction, which is the part most tools on this kind of page skip: much of your use will be reading a Bangla message from family and replying in English, not the other way round.
Each request is capped at 4,500 characters, roughly a long email, because public endpoints reject very large payloads. For a document, translate it paragraph by paragraph and read each one before moving on.
How the live translation works
Start in the left box and keep your sentences short. The right box fills after you pause, so a whole sentence needs no button press. Split at full stops rather than commas: two short sentences translate more accurately than one long one.
Swapping the direction
The swap button puts Bangla in the input and English in the output. Use it when a relative sends a message in Bangla and you want to answer in English, which is the other half of what this page is for.
Where it is good, and where it is not
Everyday messages, directions, greetings and short replies come out well. Anything where a wrong word costs money or a visa comes out badly: bank letters, embassy forms, medical reports and legal notices all still need a human. If a translation is going to a government office, pay for a certified translator.
Everyday English that comes out well
Greetings, directions, shopping, school notices and short replies to family translate reliably. The vocabulary is ordinary and the sentence order is simple, which is exactly where machines are strongest.
Documents that need a human
Birth certificates, bank statements, embassy letters, medical reports and anything carrying a stamp need a certified translator. A machine cannot sign, cannot follow a notary format and cannot be held responsible for a wrong word on a visa file.
Numbers, names and addresses
Check these by eye every time. Digits usually survive, but names are transliterated by sound, so Rahman and Rehman can come back differently in Bangla, and a house number followed by a road name sometimes splits across two lines. Read the output before you send it to anyone official.

Spelling you will notice in the output
The Bangla above is standard written Bangla. On a phone you will see shorter forms and English words left in place, so a message that says thank you often keeps it in English. The translator answers in full written form, which reads slightly formal but stays correct.
Bangla to English translation
The other direction matters just as much. Relatives at home write in Bangla and you answer in English, or you need to show a Bangla message to a colleague who cannot read it. Press swap and the same two boxes work in reverse, with English coming out.
Replying in English to a Bangla message
Paste the Bangla message, swap the direction and read the English. To reply, type your English sentence, swap back, and copy the Bangla. Two swaps per reply, nothing to install, and the boxes keep both texts while you work.
Where Bangla to English needs care
Bangla drops subjects and marks tense differently, so the English often comes back more definite than the original. Honourifics also vanish: আপনি, তুমি and তুই all become "you", and the relationship they signal is lost. Reword anything that sounds too blunt.
Translation or transliteration?
They look similar and they do different jobs. Choosing the wrong one wastes an afternoon.
When you want the meaning
If you need to understand an English notice, or send a Bangla message that says what you mean, translate. You get finished Bangla words to copy into WhatsApp or an email. That is what this page does.
When you want to write it yourself
Filling a Bangla form, or writing something personal, is better done by transliteration: type ami bhalo achi in English letters and get আমি ভালো আছি, word by word, in your own words rather than a machine's. Use Easy Bangla Typing for that, or the Bijoy to Unicode converter if the text came from an old Bijoy keyboard file.
One rule covers most cases: translate when you want to understand or to send a finished message, and type it yourself when the Bangla has to be your own words or go into a form field.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to pay or sign up?
No. There is no sign-up, no character purchase and no daily limit shown to you. It runs in your browser and uses a public translation endpoint.
Does it store the text I type?
Nothing is saved on this site. Your text is sent to a translation service to be converted and comes straight back; it is not written to our pages, index or database.
How accurate is machine translation?
Good enough for messages, directions and everyday chat between family members. It is not reliable for legal, medical, immigration or passport documents, where a certified human translator is required.
Should I type Banglish or Bangla script?
Bangla script gives far better results. Banglish such as "ami bhalo achi" is often translated as if it were English words, which produces nonsense.
Why did my translation fail?
Public endpoints occasionally rate-limit a busy network. Wait a few seconds and try again, shorten the text, or use the Google Translate link that appears with the error.
Can I translate a whole document here?
Not in one go. The box stops at 4,500 characters, roughly a long email. Translate paragraph by paragraph and read each one before pasting the next, because a mistake early in a letter carries through everything after it.
Will it understand Banglish or mixed text?
Partly. A line like ami kal office jabo usually comes back as আমি কাল অফিস যাব। Bangla script gives a better result; English letters mixed into Bangla words are where it guesses wrong.
Do I need an account to translate?
No. This page needs no account and shows no daily limit. Your text goes to a public translation endpoint and comes straight back; nothing is stored on the site.
Can I translate Bangla to English here too?
Yes. Press swap and the boxes reverse: paste Bangla, read English. Both directions stay open, and you can switch as often as you need.
