Top 5 Consular Workflows

  1. e-Passport reissue: enrol on epassport.gov.bd, pay the mission fee, then submit biometrics at the Doha or Muscat counter. Indicative fees match the Dhaka schedule; printing is done in Bangladesh.
  2. No Visa Required (NVR): a newborn or new passport holder in Qatar or Oman needs an NVR endorsement before travelling to Bangladesh — apply with the birth certificate or new passport at the mission.
  3. Power of Attorney (PoA): for land, court or banking matters in Bangladesh, draft the PoA, have it attested at the Doha or Muscat mission, and send the original to your representative.
  4. Police Clearance Certificate (PCC): fingerprints attested by the mission feed the police clearance process — follow the dedicated PCC guide for the full checklist.
  5. Welfare & labour complaints: unpaid wages, passport confiscation or repatriation emergencies go to the mission labour wing first, with the employer and contract details ready.

Labor Rights & Financial Desk

Your wages are protected by law in both countries

Qatar's Wage Protection System forces monthly bank transfer of salaries, on top of a QAR 1,000 non-discriminatory minimum wage. Oman requires contracts to be registered and wages paid through approved channels. See the Qatar & Oman Labor Rights Desk for the full rulebook.

Send riyals home with the 2.5% incentive

Every riyal remitted through banks or licensed exchange houses in Doha and Muscat earns the Bangladesh Bank 2.5% cash incentive on top of the exchange rate. The QAR / OMR to BDT calculator shows the landed total.
