End of Service Gratuity Calculator (Qatar & Oman)

Compute your statutory gratuity under Qatar Labour Law No. 14 of 2004 (three weeks per year), Oman's new Labour Law (one month per year) or Oman's pre-2025 formula (15 days for the first three years, one month after) — then see the total in taka with the 2.5% incentive. All computation stays in your browser.

About this tool

This calculator applies the statutory minimum gratuity formulas of Qatar and Oman to your basic salary and completed service. It uses a day = basic salary / 30 convention, the practice used by both countries' labour departments for expatriate end-of-service awards. Your employer contract may promise more than the minimum — never less. The taka conversion uses indicative exchange rates and adds the 2.5% wage-earner incentive for money remitted through formal channels.

Frequently asked questions

Am I entitled to gratuity if I resign?

Yes, once you have completed at least one year of service. Qatar's law sets the three-week minimum regardless of who ends the contract; Oman's 2025 law likewise pays the monthly-rate gratuity for completed years whether you resign or are terminated.

Which Oman formula applies to my contract?

Contracts governed by the old law (Royal Decree 35/2003) keep the 15-days-for-the-first-three-years formula; contracts under the new law (Royal Decree 53/2023, effective February 2025) earn at least one month per year. If unsure, run both — the result brackets your entitlement.
