Probashi Card: Benefits, Issuing Bank and How to Enrol
The government launched the Probashi Card as a pilot in August 2026. What to have ready now
- Valid passport with at least six months left, and your latest work permit or residence card.
- NID number, and a copy of your online NID printout.
- Two to three months of remittance receipts.
- A bank account with a photo and signature on file.

What exactly is the Probashi Card?

No public online portal had opened as of late October 2026. Distribution runs through the issuing banks, so start with a Janata Bank branch or your existing bank relationship, and watch probashi.gov.bd for the enrolment announcement.
Is the Probashi Card the same as an NRB certificate?
No. The NRB certificate is a separate status document issued through the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, used for things like duty-free car import and investment facilities. The Probashi Card is a banking and service card.
Do the benefits apply immediately?
The published list describes what the scheme is meant to deliver during the pilot. Individual banks and ministries roll out their priority services at different speeds, so confirm the specific benefit with the issuer before you rely on it.
